On January  7th, my family and I drove into New York. I was invited to perform the National Anthem for the Professional Bull Riders (http://www.pbr.com/en/bfts/schedule.aspx) at their event in Madison Square Garden. When I performed for them on Saturday night, the event was completely sold out! Just remembering the roar of  the crowd still gives me goosebumps! Then, on Sunday morning I had a photo shoot with Kent Miller who is an amazing photographer and Joanna Dee, who made me look great for all of the pictures! (http://www.joanna-dee.com/, http://www.kentmillerstudios.com/#/portrait) After the photo shoot, we headed back to MSG for the Professional Bull Riders afternoon event! It was an absolutely amazing weekend. I can’t wait to work with Kent and Joanna again, and get back to my PBR events!

After our time in New York, my family and I got right back on the road and headed for Nashville, TN. We arrived Tuesday morning and couldn’t wait to explore the city! I stopped for hair and make-up at Breon Hair Salon in Nashville on Tuesday afternoon, and everything was fabulous. Rachel and the rest of the staff were extremely easy to work with, and got me all dolled up. My hair lasted perfectly for my show later that night with at the Hotel Indigo in Nashville. I got to play a few tunes with the Mulch Brothers who wrote “Don’t Waste Your Time On Lonely” for my latest CD. Another surprise that night was getting to meet every single writer that had a song on my CD! It was great to get to meet all of them, and be able to perform their songs for them. The next morning, Wednesday the 11th, my family and I set out for the General Jackson Showboat bright and early. There, I was filming an episode of RFD-TV’s Shotgun Red Show with 2 other artists. The episode will premier on Monday, February 27th on RFD-TV, so be sure to catch it if you can! It was such a cool experience filming the show and learning about the production process. On Thursday, I headed back to Breon Hair Salon! ( http://www.breonhairsalon.com/) Breon, who did my hair and make-up, had been on tour with Reba McEntire for a year and a half and just got done doing hair and make-up for Toby Keith’s “Red Solo Cup” music video! She was amazing to work with and gave my mom and I lots of styling tips which will come in handy this summer. After Breon got me looking good, my mom, dad and I headed to Music Circle in Nashville were I had a few private showcases and meetings that went really well! All in all, it was a very successful trip and we are already looking to go back in April!

Now, my family and I are in Hershey PA for the PSACF Convention to book some shows!

Hello Everyone! I hope you are all enjoying the new site!

Before I get into my news, I would just like to thank you all for such a great year in 2011! I can honestly say that I will never forget all of the fairs, sporting events, shows, band practices, and people that my family and I have come across! Each and every one of you have touched my life in a way that I will cherish for years to come.

Because it is a new year and a new website, all of the pictures taken from 2010 and 2011 will have their own albums under the gallery page. Each group of pictures will be labeled by it’s event name and date. If there is a picture or pictures that you would like a copy or file of, please contact me through the website. We hope to have all of the albums up by the end of the month.

Now, I can fill you all in on some of the exciting things that will be going on in January!

This weekend, January 7th and 8th, my family and I will be back in the big city once again! The kind folks of the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) have invited me back to perform the National Anthem at their Saturday and Sunday events. My family and I love the PBR and can’t wait to go back to Madison Square Garden in New York for some bull riding! Even though most of you may be unfamiliar with the world of bull riding, I guarantee a night FILLED with bucking bulls, tough riders, and great music! Tickets are available through the Professional Bull Riders website or Ticketmaster.

After our bull riding fun on Saturday and Sunday, my family and I will be making the drive down to Nashville, TN! This is going to be our first time in Nashville and we are really looking forward to it. On Tuesday night, I will be performing with the Mulch Brothers in the Indigo Hotel at 6:30p.m.. Then on Wednesday, I will be filming an episode of the “Shotgun Red Variety Show” for RFD-TV in front of a live studio audience. We will be sure to keep you updated on the broadcasting times as soon as we return home.

It’s the time of the year where the temperature drops and the decorations go up! This is also the time of year when I get a little
break from my shows and some quality time with my family!

The next big show that we are really working and focusing on is “The Shot-Gun Red Show” in Nashville! “The Shot-Gun Red Show” is a variety show that is nationally broadcasted by RFD-TV and is available in most homes! I will be filming an episode of “The Shot-Gun Red Show” when we visit Nashville in January! The episode will be featured in the show’s second season that will air in the spring of 2012!

www.evakatherine.com will also be under going some serious construction so keep your eyes peeled and your ears open!!!

Everything with my gig on 102.3 The Mountain went really well! I was nervous to do my very first live radio performance but the band and I had a great time at the Woodlands. We can’t wait to perform together again soon! A big thank you to Alan Stout for having us. Hope we can do it again one day.

This weekend I will be back up to visit my friends at Wegman’s Market Cafe in Wilkes-Barre. This time on Saturday afternoon, 12-2 pm. I’ll be singing some country favorites as well as songs from the new CD, “We’re Gonna Get There”. If you are around, please stop in…maybe do a little shopping and say “Hi”.

Speaking of the new CD, some of you have been asking where to get it. It’s available at the Gallery of Sound Stores and online through CDbaby.com and iTunes. Please take a listen and let me know which song is your favorite!

In November I will be performing at Chick Singer Night in a really cool place called the Bitter End in NYC! I’m really excited because a lot of awesome artists have played there over the years and being on that same stage will be super cool. CSN features all new artists performing original music so I can’t wait to hear some of the other artist perform that night. If you’d like to come and join us the date is Tuesday, November 29 and the show starts at 8:00pm.

For all my friends down in the York, PA, area, I will be doing a show at Christmas Magic again this year. December 3 at 7pm. All those beautiful lights really put me in the mood for the holidays! For more info, please go to www.yorkcountyparks.org/chmagic.html.
